The problem SHERLOCK AI solves

Sherlock AI addresses the rising concerns surrounding deepfake technology and AI-generated content. By detecting whether images, videos, and audio files are created by artificial intelligence, the project helps combat misinformation, identity fraud, and potential malicious uses of AI-generated media. This capability contributes to digital security, content verification, and trust preservation, offering a tool to distinguish between authentic and manipulated content. Ultimately, Sherlock AI aims to mitigate the negative impacts of AI-generated content by providing a means to identify and authenticate multimedia materials in various online and offline contexts.

Challenges we ran into

Sherlock AI may encounter challenges related to the evolving sophistication of AI-generated content, as adversaries continually refine their techniques to create more convincing deepfakes. Keeping the detection algorithms up-to-date to accurately identify new and advanced forms of AI-generated media poses an ongoing challenge. Additionally, ensuring a balance between sensitivity and specificity in detection to minimize false positives and negatives can be complex. The project might also face ethical considerations regarding privacy and responsible use of the technology. Continuous research and development efforts are essential to stay ahead of emerging AI-generated content methods and address these challenges effectively.
