Inspiration

Seeing all the worries about safety in Chicago, we wanted to do something 'bout it. So, we dug into this dataset called Chicago Portal to figure out where the crime stuff's happening and find ways to make it safer. It's like, using the data, visualize the threatening locations for Chicago police Department use case and recommend safer places for tourists.

What it does

Chicago WatchTower gets the location of the Risky district and suggests users to have safer locations based on previous unsettling locations

Challenges we ran into

Throughout the development process, we encountered various challenges, including technical complexities in using the json file created using the dataset and mapping it on the map and collectively using that specific data for recommendations.

We're really proud of what we've achieved with WatchTower. It's this amazing solution that not only guides tourists but also ensures their safety every step of the way. It meticulously plans out the safest paths and locations for their tours, making sure they can explore without any worries

What we learned
