Chi Planner

Inspiration The inspiration behind this project was to create a tour guide with an integrated planner for exploring Chicago. What it does The Chi town Places Event Planner allows users to discover various attractions and events in Chicago and plan their itinerary accordingly. How we built it We built the Chi town Places Event Planner using Ruby on Rails for the backend, along with Flutter SDK for the Mobile App Development. We also utilized database management systems and external APIs for data retrieval and integration. Challenges we ran into Data population in DB Accomplishments that we're proud of We're proud of successfully implementing a user-friendly interface for browsing Chicago attractions, creating a robust planner feature for organizing events, and overcoming technical hurdles throughout the development process. What we learned Throughout the development of the Chi town Places Event Planner, we learned valuable lessons about software development, database management, frontend design, and user experience optimization. What's next for Chi town Places Event Planner In the future, we plan to enhance the Chi town Places Event Planner with additional features such as user authentication, social sharing capabilities, personalized recommendations, and integration with mapping services for navigation assistance. We also aim to expand the database of attractions and events to provide a comprehensive guide to exploring Chicago.
