With pictures provided by the user, our program utilizes computer vision and macronutrient databases to estimate the macro nutritional value of the food within the provided image.

Inspiration

Making Calorie/macronutrient tracking easier.

What it does

Uses a computer vision API to scan the estimates for the quantities of food within the image. Uses a nutritional database to estimate the calories/macronutrients based on quantity.

How we built it

Using gpt-4 turbo API to provide an estimate of quantity along with FDA's food database to calculate the required nutritional value.

installing matplotlib

Accomplishments that we're proud of

implementing a working API, and hopefully providing accurate results when it all works.

The desire to pummel a hole into each of our devices' monitors out of pure frustration and rage
