Inspiration
Students can feel unmotivated to study. We wanted a way to gamify learning in order to motivate and entertain students.
What it does
This ai challenges players in a topic of their choice on answering questions rapidly. The application also showcases statistics on how the player's progress over time.
How we built it
We built it using the Taipy Library and used Python.
Challenges we ran into
Downloading Taipy and learning how to work with it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of how much we learned in using the library.
What we learned
How to use the library.
What's next for StudyBuddy
The main goal is to incorporate machine learning into the AI in order for it to tune to each specific player it goes against. We also want to incorporate many features already hinted at in the early implementation. For instance, grades are something that will be added upon as we already have a setting for that. We have the wiggle room to add more difficulty. Something that is planned is to have different subjects and not only mathematics. We also want to look into having a timer or a time-based mode for speedier studying. Questions of course will become more nuanced and user experience can be worked on more.
