Inspiration
We set out to create an environment to help students maximize their academic potential, regardless of their initial intelligence level.
What it does
Solo Learning aims to transform students' study habits and techniques through a game-like experience, streamlining the process of acquiring knowledge and skills. The app provides specifically designed tutorials and a series of engaging challenges to enhance students' logic-building and problem-solving skills, making learning fun and interactive.
How we built it
Drawing from our experiences as undergraduates and the challenges we faced in mastering complex subjects, we developed Solo Learning to simplify the learning process. We began with brainstorming sessions and sketches, eventually designing the app's interface using Figma. Solo Learning is the result, offering a structured approach to mastering academic subjects and improving study techniques.
Challenges we ran into
Designing a roadmap that catered to students with varying levels of intelligence and learning abilities was our primary challenge. Crafting effective questioning techniques and diverse challenges to suit different users was a complex task. Additionally, we encountered numerous UI issues in Android Studio, especially with the complex arrangements for levels and dashboards.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud to have developed a comprehensive roadmap for Solo Learning, which we refer to as our "Secret Sauce." After countless hours of design and development, we successfully created an intuitive user experience that aligns with our initial vision.
What we learned
Solo Learning was a profound learning experience for us. We gained insights into adapting our application to suit the cognitive abilities of our users, creating structured courses for tutorials, and integrating them seamlessly into the app.
What's next for Solo-Learning
Solo Learning is an evolving project. We plan to continually add more features, languages, levels, and challenges to the app. Our goal is to expand the app's capabilities to include teaching entire tech stacks like Android Studio, Solidity, and other essential Web 3.0 skills necessary for a career in development.
