The inspiration behind Singh Aid stemmed from our firsthand experiences in the field during the European refugee crisis. Witnessing the inefficiencies and challenges of traditional aid distribution methods motivated us to innovate and create a solution that respects the dignity and autonomy of aid recipients while enhancing the effectiveness of humanitarian efforts.

Through our journey, we learned the importance of solidarity between aid workers and beneficiaries, as well as the significance of adapting to the evolving needs of vulnerable populations. We discovered that technology can be a powerful tool for driving positive change in the humanitarian sector, but it must be designed with a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges faced on the ground.

Building Singh Aid presented several challenges, including:

Technical Complexity: Developing a robust and user-friendly web-app required overcoming technical challenges and ensuring compatibility with various devices and internet connectivity levels.
Cultural Sensitivity:Adapting our solution to different cultural contexts and understanding the diverse needs of aid recipients presented a significant challenge.
Scaling Impact:Expanding our reach beyond the initial refugee camp to other locations and partnering with NGOs required careful planning and coordination.
