Inspiration: This was inspired by our life challenges and struggles with a post covid approach to traditional learning schema
What it does: Our software converts spoken words (live or recorded lectures) into transcripts, summaries, and highlights key points. It includes a virtual assistant, creates to-do lists and generates roadmaps and flashcards for enhanced learning
How we built it: We built it using Python, React, and node
Challenges we ran into: We ran into numerous challenges throughout the competition as we were dynamically thinking of new features and concepts for students to utilize
Accomplishments that we're proud of: We are proud of the actual completion and the determination it took to achieve such a complex code.
What we learned: We learned how to problem solve and how to bring our ideas to fruition. Personally, from a non traditional coding background I sharpened my skills in python and got to learn alot from Teddy on how the front end of development works
What's next for Retrak: In the future we hope to have live testing and user feedback to help us continue building the software. We also have more feature ideas such as realtime roadmaps to be explored in the future. Of course we also want to provide a more optimized platform as none of our stakeholders want to wait.
