Inspiration
Instead of exploring urban tech solutions, we wanted to think about urban tech problems.
What it does
Allows users to anonymously share information about cars and packages that one might be interested in stealing/jacking/etc. Has an utility tool to make sure stolen amount isn't over the felony limit in SFO
How we built it
Used Kotlin in Android Studio, with Firebase as the database.
Challenges we ran into
Rendering images, storing images in the database, ui/ux design
Accomplishments that we're proud of
ui/ux design Being able to demo simultaneous usage by multiple users.
What we learned
How to build apps for android, design considerations to keep in mind. Good practices for data storage for anonymous users that still need to be paid.
What's next for U-Jack
Implementing Account page, payment system and location services.
Built With
