With our whole lives ahead of us, it's important to get off on the right foot when it comes to finances, however something unavoidable in the modern day makes doing this more and more confusing. Credit cards are a dangerous game, while they're necessary for building your credit score, poor spending habits can easily lower your score faster than you can raise it. We already know there's apps and guides out there to help you pick a card, but many of them don't play "the financial game" (as my mom calls it).

Our goal is to create an app that not only helps you pick out credit cards, but helps with maximizing points and cashback while minimizing fees. We're here to help you through all steps of your credit journey, from picking the right card for your score and finances, to selecting which card to use at each purchase, tracking your spending to make sure you're not going overboard, and finally letting you know when its time to let your old cards go for a shiny new one.

Our project, built with expo to maximize mobile compatibility, is built to be capable of importing your finances straight from your bank using Plaid. Although for now it's a hard coded set, the credit cards we serve could in the future be detected through web scraping. As a team of majority novice hackers, we faced many challenges in this build when it came to learning new skills. Two of our teammates haven't even picked up Javascript before this weekend. Although it may not be perfect, our product has potential and is one we believe to be capable of helping the next generation of finance.
