When you first come to college, it isn’t easy to make friends. We have decided to make a game that will encourage students to make friends through connection challenges.

Inspiration

  • As current college students, we know how hard it is to make friends on campus as a freshman. When we first came to campus we wish we had something that made it easy to connect with other students. ## What it does The app uses AI to generate 5 challenges per day for students to complete on campus that will allow them to connect with their fellow peers. Students will be able to also compete with each other to see who can make the most connections. ## How we built it We used Android Studios to build the app itself. When making the login and the signup page we used Firebase to store the login data and user information. ## Challenges we ran into We wanted to use React to make it IOS, but we ran into problems with the emulator so we switched to android system. We also couldn't get the AI to work completely so we decided to use premade challenges but in the future plan to implement the AI feature. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of We are proud that we were able to get what we were able to get done within 24 hours. We were able to push through the challenges and still follow through. ## What we learned We learned that making a game within 24 hours is not the easiest and it takes a lot of team work to execute such a great idea. ## What's next for Net We hope to complete what we couldn't get done within the 24 hours. Our biggest goal is to get the AI working.
