Inspiration

NearByU was inspired by the need to support local businesses and make shopping more convenient for users. With online shopping becoming dominant, we wanted to create a solution that helps local shops thrive and connects users with nearby products effortlessly.

What it does

NearByU is an app that lets users find products in nearby shops and make purchases directly from their phones. Users can see what's available nearby, get directions to the shops, and contact them easily. For shop owners, it's a tool to manage their inventory and connect with customers efficiently.

How we built it

We built NearByU using Flutter for the app interface, Firebase for backend services like user authentication and data management, and Google Maps API for location services. We followed an agile approach, continuously improving based on feedback.

Challenges we ran into

We faced challenges with integrating Google Maps for accurate location services, designing a user-friendly interface, ensuring the app could handle real-time updates efficiently, and addressing security concerns.and all within 24 hours

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We created a user app for finding the products and 2 cms ,one for the admins and one for the shop owners.

What we learned

We learned the importance of effective API integration, user-centered design, backend development complexities, and the necessity of security measures to protect user data.
