MOAverse

Inspiration

We first drew inspiration based on our own interests so we listed out ideas and topics that we enjoy. We found that we shared our interest in KPOP in which we decided to create a portfolio-esque, artist website that promotes the KPOP band Tomorrow X Together’s (TXT) new album: minisode 3: TOMORROW. We chose this band specifically as this group has been promoting their concerts and songs with a spring concept which fits the theme of this webathon. Our brand is inspired by TXT’s fandom name, MOA (pronounced MOE-uh), to which we added that to ‘verse’ for ‘universe’. MOAverse is an invitation for a safe place for TXT fans, MOAs, to unite and learn the discography, personality, and talent of each team member.

How we built it

We planned out our ideas and designs on Figma, heavily relying on TXT’s color scheme based on their photos grabbed from their concept photoshoots. As we designed the website, we put our main focus on the aesthetics, the spring theme, and layout in order to portray the personality of Tomorrow X Together into a visual format on this site.

Challenges we ran into

Making the design responsive was a lot hard than we thought. We had to simplify our design to ensure it's not too confusing and the flow is smooth. We wanted to also do alot more details that were on our figma design but we didn't have time unfortunately.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are especially proud with how we challenged ourselves creatively, especially among the design aspect in this project. This project brought us to think about layout that would help personify the band visually. We also utilized BootStrap for the first time in this project so it was a good learning experience.

What we learned

We learned how to code a responsive design. Even though our website is all front end, we tried to make it as informational as possible and makes the user engaged despite there not being alot of user-interactions. We also learned an awesome feature in Spotify and Youtube that lets us embed the music video and album which added a lot of uniqueness to our website.

What's next for MOAverse

MOAverse is a website that would be used by Tomorrow X Together fans and also by those who are curious to know more about this new comeback. This site would change when a new comeback by Tomorrow X Together is released.
