Aim 🎯

Krishi Mitra isn't just another app; it's a digital revolution for small agricultural farmers! Our aim? To digitize, empower, and educate farmers, turning their smartphones into powerful tools for success.

Inspiration

Last summer half the crops in our own farm had grown some spots on the leaves. Experts were called in to inspect and prescribe a course of treatment, but they couldn't even agree on which disease it was. That's when we realised the only solution to this is a reliable AI model which can see the differences humans cannot.

What it does

  • Deep Learning Plant Disease Detection: Say goodbye to guessing games! Our cutting-edge TensorFlow and Keras models identify plant diseases faster than you can say "crop rotation."
  • Government Subsidies and Schemes: We've got the inside scoop on all the latest government subsidies and schemes. No more navigating labyrinthine government websites!
  • Latest News and Market Prices: Stay ahead of the game with up-to-the-minute news and daily market prices. Knowledge is power, after all!

How we built it

We whipped up Krishi Mitra using state-of-the-art TensorFlow and Keras models for our disease detection system. Plus, we've cooked up some nifty APIs to make everything run like a well-oiled tractor. The app was sown into existence through Flutter

Challenges we ran into

Navigating government websites and finding schemes was tougher than herding cats in a hurricane! But fear not, we braved the digital wilderness so you don't have to.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of having built a working image recognition model. It took a lot of trial and testing to make a model that is accurate because the differences between diseased leaves is minute

What's next for Krishi Mitra

Hold onto your sunhats because we're not stopping here! Next up, we're rolling out a financial management system to help farmers manage their greenbacks better. Plus, keep an eye out for our supply chain tracker coming soon to revolutionize how farmers do business
