Inspiration
I wanted to learn kendo, but there aren't any instructors nearby to correct my form.
What it does
FormSense is designed to help people keep track of their fitness statistics and allow them to discuss and share forms and motions online.
How we built it
We used a Spring Boot back-end for routing, authentication, and other services. MySQL was the database used. We used React Native for a mobile front-end. We integrated Tensorflow JS with React Native as well.
Challenges we ran into
There were some issues with Spring Security and integrating the front and back ends. Getting pose extraction working reliably was also (and still is) a challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Everyone learned more about React Native, and the UI that was finished looks nice.
What we learned
We learned not to procrastinate and sleep.
What's next for FormSense
Finishing the UI, implementing commenting functionality, improving the reliability of the pose extractor, finishing the form deviation functionality, and implementing more sharing features.
