Inspiration
We were inspired by the realization that there was a market gap in the services provided to disabled people in the field of working out. All of the current solutions are surface leveled, but our product digs deeper and finds smarter ways to solve these problems.
What it does
Our product makes a specialized workout program based on the users’ disabilities and preferences. We use AI to improve their experience. Not only that, but we also provide nutritional services to help them eat healthier.
How we built it
Our specialized program to find a workout program used gpt-3.5-turbo and the nutritional services also relied on that service. Our ability to find users’ preferences and disabilities came from MongoDB, where we held our data.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge that we faced while developing our project was that we couldn’t figure out how to gather the data properly. We solved this problem by making a survey-like design where questions were asked from the user after they signed up into the website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we could develop this project in less than a day. We were able to make a working AI that took in parameters of a person and developed a workout routine based off of that information.
What we learned
Throughout making this project, we learnt about the intricacies of implementing Artificial Intelligence into a website and using databases to streamline the process in which we acquired data.
What's next for AllAbilities
The next step for AllAbilities would be to find a way to find “friendly” gyms that provide needed services for disabled people such as providing adaptive equipment, and including more inclusive educational programs.
