Most of our team members work out regularly and try to track their calories. This means several of us have tried multiple diet-tracking apps. However, we found many problems with all of them. One specific problem we found was that most diet-tracking apps are not entirely beginner-friendly. This sprouted our idea for Calorie Coach, the first entirely free calorie-tracking app that provides tips and tricks for how to manage calories. Calorie Coach allows for the user to set a specific calorie goal for each day and log their food intake and exercise for that day. We built Calorie Coach using Flutter and an Android Emulator. Surprisingly, however, most of our team members have little to no experience using Flutter. This led to some major delays in our advancements as we had powerful ideas, but we didn't entirely know how to implement them. Although we had this roadblock, we still managed to get several ideas working efficiently, far exceeding our expectations. The main takeaway from these long hours of app development was that it is essential for the entire team to be on the same page at all times in hopes of avoiding miscommunication and potentially missed ideas.
